Why Play HVMSBL?

The Hudson Valley-Westchester Men's Adult Baseball League (HVWMSBL) is the longest running baseball league in the tri-state area serving the greater Hudson Valley area including Orange, Dutchess, Westchester, Fairfield, Ulster and Putnam County.  We currently run the Hudson Valley's only 35+ and 45+ divisions and have recently partnered with the HVNABA where we've recently merged out 18+ Sunday and midweek divisions into their 17+ division.

Why Play HVWMSBL?

Top Reasons to Play in the HVWMSBL

Longevity & Growth - Longest running league north of New York City.  Heading into 2024, we expect around 8 teams for our 45+ division and 12-14 teams for our 35+ division.

.

League Champs Rewarded – we reward our champions year in, year out. In 2023, we wrote $1,250 in checks to our division winners...  [Congratulations Brewers (35+ American), and our 35+ National and 45+ Champions], and we'll be rewarding our champions with trophies, league MVPs and Cy Young winners as well as individual team MVPs will receive awards as well at our year end league-wide reception at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Inexpensive to Play Baseball, Don't Overpay – we charge the bare minimum necessary to get our players playing while also having all teams play at Dutchess Stadium.  We charge a team fee rather than a traditional per player cost, but that cost averages out to around $325 per player which can go up or down based upon number of players on each roster.  These fees include everything, baseballs, insurance, scorebooks, website/social media, umpires, fields, etc.  Some leagues charge one fee then expect you to find your own fields and pay umpires at the field.  One payment, you're done!

High Quality Baseball, Fields, Equipment – we expend a lot of money on fields, umpires, insurance, and baseballs.  We use the best balls on the market  and play at only the best fields in Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Westchester and Fairfield counties.

Great Competition – HVWMSBL boasts great baseball in the area, hosting many ex-college and even a few ex-pros, but there’s still those that excel that only played high school ball or maybe didn’t even play on their high school teams.   There's a place for everyone to play baseball in the Valley regardless of age.

Strength of Schedule – Everyone gets to play everyone but we set up natural rivalries and ensure a balance strength of schedule to ensure competitive games.

Local and National Tournaments – we send many local teams to regional and national tournaments (Vegas, Orlando, Florida, Arizona, Cooperstown)
